Here are the rules:

 

1. $25 registration for each team.

2.  A team consists of one couple.

3.  The maximum of 39 handicap will be allowed.

4.  The number of strokes for each player is determined by the player with the lowest handicap.  Subtract the 

      lowest handicap for each of the other three players" handicap.  The remainder is the handicap for each 

      player. 

    

      Example:  Player A is a 10 handicap- plays to a 0

                        Player B is a 25 handicap- plays to a 15

                        Player C is a 13 handicap- plays to a 3

                        Player D is a 36 handicap- plays to a 26

      

      We will use Golf Genius to manage this.  Also, prior to your match, request from the Pro Shop to print the scorecards and assign a golf genius code.

 

5.  Women will play from the Silver tees, Men will play from the White tees, Senior Men will play from the Gold tees if over 70, or           Silver if over 80 as designated for the season).

6.  Traditional 4-ball match, the best net ball wins the hole. 

  • This is true, even on Cherokee 1, 2, 4 or 5 - low net score wins - no matter which tees are being played.

     Matches tied after 18 holes should proceed to sudden death extra holes. starting with the original tee box until a winner is                 decided.

7.  Match play rules apply.  Check your rule book for differences between match play and medal play.

8.  You may not play your match during a stroke play event.  The Rules of Golf prevent both types of play at the 

      same time, disallowing the outcome of the match and disqualifying you from the stroke play event.

9.  Please play your match by the designated date: ( NO extensions will be granted)

 

     Round 1 by May 31

     Round 2 by June 30

     Round 3 by July 31

     Semi-final by August 31

     Final round by September 30

 

     This is subject to revision based on the number of registrants and the size of the bracket.

10. Once you have completed your match, turn your scorecard into the Pro Sop and the winner should notify the Tournament   Committee of the result.

11. Posting information:  Post your score for all matches.  The score should be posted as Competition scores.

12. If you do not finish a the hole, record no more than “Net Double Bogey”, which equals to Par + 2 strokes + any handicap strokes the player would received on that particular hole - (using their full handicap, not just strokes used in the match)
