The Shamrock Scramble.

 

Date/Time: Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 1:00pm. Shotgun Start.

Players Pool: TBD

Payout: Minimum 3 net places and 1 gross place, depending on field size.  Ties will be broken through a scorecard playoff.

Closest to the Pin: Ladies #3 Choctaw, Men #6 Seminole

Team Composition: Teams will be comprised of two couples paired to make a foursome team.

 

Scramble Format:

• Ladies tee from the Silver tee.

• Men tee from White tee.

  • If declared prior to the start of the couples' season, Men over 70 may tee from the Gold tee and men over 80 may tee from the Silver tee.

  • Handicaps will be adjusted as appropriate  

• Each member of the foursome team tees off on each hole. The combined brain-power of the team determines which ball resulted in the best position.

• The other three players pick up their balls and place them next to the best-positioned ball. 

• All four golfers hit from that location. 

• Play continues in this fashion until the ball is holed.

• Two (2) drives per player are required to be selected over the 18 holes of the tournament

• A single gross score per team is recorded in GolfGenius

  • Handicap strokes will be deducted automatically through GolfGenius.

  • Team handicap will be determined by USGA recommendation for the 4-person scramble format

• All other USGA rules are in effect

  • Note the IHCGA local rule pertaining to rocks and roots
